Synopsis
It’s the night of Sant Joan, and the whole city is getting ready to burn. Alex is thirteen, has no money, and one single goal: get his hands on firecrackers before the sun goes down. To do it, he’s willing to steal, to lie, and to lose his best friends. No one understands why he’s doing it, because no one knows what’s waiting for him when he gets home. Entre espurnes is a ground-level portrait of a childhood growing up too fast, and of the small acts of tenderness that can hide behind a bad decision.
Currently in post-production, my most recent shoot. This was the first project where I stepped back from running the floor myself and delegated that role, so I could focus on the other parts of producing instead. Another ESCAC project, made with limited resources, and a small but real shift in how I work: learning to hand off the part of the job I used to hold onto myself.
